Time Strategies
Time management is important in many aspects. Being a hairstylist, some say "time is money," as we run on appointment times on a daily basis, and even having the slightest delay can end up messing up your whole day, making you run behind. I've taken enough online classes to know that waiting until the last minute to do assignments is not only bad time management, but also stressful and just plain not fun! I'd much rather try to get it done early and turn it in as soon as I can. The first English class I took online, I remember waiting until two days before an essay was due, and I still had a ton of reading to do, PLUS write the essay. Let's just say, I didn't leave my room the entire weekend. So I've learned to plan ahead, get things done, and done early if possible. Since I'll be transitioning into a new salon, I know there will be days that are busier than others, but I'll be able to have more time to be able to do the reading as well as the assignments.
