Reading other students writing this week, to be honest, was intimidating for me. The writing I read about "Oroonoko" made me feel like my understanding was not right and that my post about it was horribly written. Everyone's response was very well written and also interesting. No one just seemed to summarize the story; it's like they sort of summarized, but were also making great points while using quotes from the story. I'm glad to read their posts and get a better understanding of the material we're reading and get different viewpoints, perspectives and opinions.
(Since I'm not taking any other classes...) Work has been a little crazy - we had two ladies transfer from another salon, and they were both supposedly "managers" at their respective salons, but working with them has been...well...interesting. They are both very messy (they leave hair in the dustpan, which is gross and also a State Board fine!), they leave their styling tools all over the salon, and they hardly ever greet clients as they walk in and they don't answer the phones hardly ever. Makes my job a little harder.
For the upcoming week, I hope to stay on top of the reading and assignments and get further on my research project. And hopefully getting great quotes for the project. I’d also like to read more comments, so maybe next week I’ll do the extra credit for extra commenting so I can further expand my perspective on the reading, and to gain more insight to my fellow classmates and their viewpoints/opinions.
